You don't need anything fancy, just grab some good cheese, a fresh baguette, and a bottle of your favorite wine. Forget the stereotypes; we really do enjoy these treats.
My go-to spot is under the weeping willow tree in Le "Square du Vert-Galant" on the island of la cité just next to Notre Dame de Paris.
It's super chill and surrounded by greenery. The most relevant is that it is at the edge of the island, meaning that water of the river is passing by both sides of you. If you're up for alternatives, you can also picnic in "Jardin des Invalides" or on the "Champ de Mars" with the Eiffel Tower right in front of you.
Whether it's a romantic date or a casual hangout with friends, a picnic in Paris is a simple and lovely way to enjoy good food and the city's vibe.
